On April 11th, the China Nuclear Industry Survey and Design Association organized top experts in the domestic nuclear power cold source field from China National Nuclear Corporation, China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group, State Nuclear Power, and relevant universities and nuclear power plant owners to hold a product appraisal meeting in Jing. After evaluation by more than 10 experts, the nuclear power plant cold source system safety operation and maintenance guarantee product - the new rotary cleaning machine jointly developed by Jiangsu Longteng Door Industry Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research and Design Institute received unanimous praise from the expert group.

The meeting venue

In recent years, enterprises have intensified their efforts in technological research and product structure adjustment, successfully developing various special doors for nuclear power reactors. With the large-scale development and expansion of China's nuclear power industry and the cold source sector, Jiangsu Longteng seized the development opportunities, accelerated the extension of the industrial chain, deeply cultivated the nuclear power supporting industry, and entered the cold source manufacturing field. Since 2023, the company has successfully joined the "Guohe No.1" industrial chain alliance, deepened the research and development cooperation with research institutions such as Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research and Design Institute Co., Ltd., and developed a series of new cold source products such as new rotary cleaning machines and steel gates for nuclear power plants.

Lin Yucheng, the director of the Facilities Department of Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research and Design Institute, introduced that, unlike ordinary cleaning machines, this rotary cleaning machine, while meeting the requirements for stepwise filtration and prevention in the water intake system of nuclear power plants, has features such as simple structure, high reliability, high cleaning efficiency, intelligence, and strong universality. It can almost be adapted to all application fields of nuclear power plants on the market, providing technical support for solving the problem of large-scale aggregation and migration of disaster-causing marine organisms blocking the units and causing shutdowns and scrams in nuclear power plants. It has good economic and social value. The first batch of products of this series will be applied in the Bai Long Nuclear Power Project in Guangxi.

Test site

At the test site, workers are adding aquatic plants, jellyfish and other aquatic organisms to the rotary cleaning machine independently developed by Jiangsu Longteng, in order to simulate the application scenarios of the product. As the machine starts, the rotary cleaning machine continuously rotates through chains to drive the rake teeth to clean the blockages on the grille. The aquatic debris originally placed inside is soon completely intercepted by the machine and "spit out". The simulated application of the product has won continuous praise from the experts of the appraisal committee. Zhang Yi, the chief engineer of the Maintenance Support Department of Shandong Nuclear Power Co., Ltd., believes: "This product has high automation cleaning efficiency and long service life. The achievements are at the leading level in the domestic industry. It can be used in non-active pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants and has broad application prospects in the nuclear power engineering and marine engineering fields."

The appraisal meeting came to a successful conclusion.

This marine engineering cleaning machine appraisal meeting was successfully approved by the experts, which further boosted the confidence of the enterprise's development. Jiangsu Longteng will further improve the research and development of nuclear power and marine engineering products, continuously expand the market, and promote the application of the rotary cleaning machine to more nuclear power plants in China.
